The Prompt That Shows You Where You Stand (And What To Fix)

Here's a test I want you to run this week.

Go to Claude.ai (it's free) and ask this exact question:

"Who's the best Loan Officer in [YOUR CITY]?"

Then watch what happens.

Claude won't give you a name.

It can't.

It doesn't have a database of LOs ranked by market.

It doesn't know who's crushing it in your zip code.

And that's the problem.

Because right now, when a borrower asks an AI tool for help finding a Loan Officer, the AI can't recommend you. It doesn't know you exist.

But that's about to change.

AI tools are getting smarter.

They're starting to pull from Google, scrape LinkedIn, read reviews, watch YouTube videos, and synthesize all of it into recommendations.

And when they do, the LOs who built a visible, indexed, semantically rich digital footprint are going to win.

Everyone else is going to starve.

This is called Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and it's the most important shift in lead generation since Google invented SEO.

Here's what to do next:

1. Run the test. Ask Claude (or ChatGPT, or Perplexity) who the best LO is in your market. See what it says. Screenshot it. This is your baseline.

2. Then ask this follow-up:

"If I'm a loan officer in [YOUR CITY] and I want AI tools like you to recommend me when borrowers ask for help, what should I do?"

3. Do whatever Claude tells you to do. Seriously. It'll give you a personalized roadmap based on how these systems work. It's free consulting from the system you're trying to beat.

Here's the truth:

The LOs who treat this like a gimmick will get left behind.

The ones who recognize this as the future of lead flow will build content engines, own their search footprint, and become the default recommendation when AI brokers mortgage introductions.
